"Sakaleshpura," believed to originate from the local saying "Sakala Aishwarya Pura," holds significant meaning. The name IsiriSakaleshpura draws inspiration from this phrase, reflecting our deep establishment within Sakaleshpura Taluk, renowned for its vibrant coffee and spice cultivation.

At IsiriSakaleshpura, our steadfast commitment lies in advocating for bird-friendly farming practices that safeguard local wildlife from potential harm. This principle guides our procurement, emphasizing sourcing raw farm produce primarily from bird-friendly and organic farms.

Our dedication aligns closely with the rich heritage of the Malenadu region in the Western Ghats, which is deeply rooted in coffee, cardamom, & spice cultivation. We ardently endeavor to not only offer superior quality products and services but also to share the captivating culture of the Sakaleshpura region in the Western Ghats.

At IsiriSakaleshpura, our ongoing commitment revolves around cultivating an environmentally sustainable operational framework. This ethos guides our decision not to offer single-use serving plates, cups, or cutlery at our Café in Sakaleshpura. Instead, we utilize recycled paper serviettes, minimize the use of carry bags, and abstain from selling PET bottled cold/soft beverages.

Biowaste generated at IsiriSakaleshpura undergoes a meticulous segregation process, transforming into livestock feed for free-range chickens and nutrient-rich plant manure. The resulting plant manure finds purpose in nourishing our family-owned coffee farms, creating a cyclical and eco-conscious system.

Operating within and adjacent to coffee farms in a rural setup has proven advantageous in fostering an environmentally sustainable business model. This proximity negates the necessity for long-distance transportation of biowaste, effectively curbing pollution stemming from fossil fuel-burning vehicles.

Our organically grown coffee and pepper is sourced from Ms. Abhisheka Krishnagopal, an Artist, Ecologist & Nature Educator who owns ‘ಕಲಾಕಾನನ’, a small plantation in Sakaleshpura. Abhisheka uses her training in ecology, conservation leadership, and the knowledge gained from her grandmother who hailed from Sakaleshpura, to practice bird/wildlife friendly farming.
